Mighty Wanderers Queens say they are not concerned about their unusual home form in the National Bank of Malawi National Women’s Premiership, despite failing to win any of their home matches this season.
The Nomads have collected 12 points this season, but remarkably, all four victories have come away from home, where they maintain a perfect record. At home, however, they have yet to earn a single point.

They suffered their first home defeat to Ascent Academy at Kamuzu Stadium in Week 2, before losing to league leaders Silver Strikers Ladies in Week 5, and then falling to rivals FCB Nyasa Big Bullets Women at Mpira Stadium in Week 7.
Following the latest defeat, goalkeeper trainer Davie Pashani remained optimistic about the team’s development in the national tournament.
“It’s a team full of youngsters built from scratch. It’s their first National League appearance, but they are still playing well. We are not worried because the performance is quite good,” Pashani said.
In the Blantyre Derby, the Nomads attacked well and produced a solid defensive display against Bullets Women, only to be stunned by Alexia Iouria Yiannakis’ free kick in the 89th minute.
The squad lacks players with extensive experience in women’s football but boasts promising talents including captain Funny Moyo, goalkeeper Esther Chauluka, defender Wezzie Mhango, attacker Faluna Umali, and striker Tawina Kawaga.
The loss saw the team drop to fifth position in the league with 12 points from four wins and three defeats, having scored seven goals and conceded five.
