The speculation is officially over! Chikumbutso Salima has committed his future to FCB Nyasa Big Bullets, agreeing to a new three-year contract that will keep him at the club. This puts to rest rumors linking the talented attacker with a move to rivals Ekhaya FC.
FCB Nyasa Big Bullets confirmed the exciting news with a simple yet powerful caption: “here to stay.” Salima’s previous three-year deal was set to expire in January of next year, but the club moved swiftly to secure his extension, recognizing his importance to the team’s future.
Last week, Wa Mpira reported that Bullets had initiated talks with Salima’s representatives regarding a contract extension, and that negotiations were in advanced stages but there was salary gap. Wa Mpira also revealed that Ekhaya FC was still aggressively pursuing Salima and teammate Yamikani Mologeni, even tabling a staggering MK15 million signing-on fee for their services.
However, Salima has ultimately snubbed those lucrative offers to remain with FCB Nyasa Big Bullets. The club views him as a potential replacement for Patrick Mwaungulu, further highlighting their belief in his talent and long-term vision for the squad.
