The first round for the Saint Louis High School Dedza District Football League is expected to come to an end over this weekend.
The league kicked off on 29th June, 2025 with a match between Dedza Eagles and the current league leaders Thete FC but play off games delayed the progress of the league as it took almost two months before finding teams that joined the already qualified teams to make it a league of 16 teams.

General Secretary for Dedza District Football Association (DDFA) Hashim Shosholoza Adam has reaffirmed the association’s commitment in running the league in a professional way.
“We are monitoring all the games closely because we want teams to get what they deserve,” Shosho said.
He recommended referees for working in line with their mandate despite having limited resources.
“Despite a few challenges encountered but they have worked hard for the betterment of the league,” he revealed.
He then called upon all stakeholders to continue supporting their sponsor Saint Louis High School by sending their children to the school.
“They have been with us for four consecutive seasons and they need our support for their continued support to the district,” he indicated.
The general secretary recently made a public a announcement that he will award the top three teams with match balls.
