Mighty Mukuru Wanderers are kicking off their season of “happiness” this afternoon with a home game against the 2016 TNM Super League winners, Kamuzu Barracks at Kamuzu Stadium.
Nsazurwimo Ramadan who replaced departed Mark Harrison said his main aim is to make the team “Mighty” again as they look to compete for trophies this season.

The Nomads look for an improved season having gone last season without any trophy as their arch rivals, FCB Nyasa Big Bullets swept all trophies. They face Kamuzu Barracks which got four points from them last season but the new coach, Nsanzurwimo Ramadan said this is another new season.
“Yes we are starting a season of happiness and I’m very happy because the preparations have gone well we have a camp in Mponela which was successful and I think we will have a good season. KB is a good team, yet we struggled last season but it’s another time and other faces, we are ready to take them down.” Said Ramadan.
“kumwembe, Nyondo face late fitness test”

Two strikers for the Nomads, Christopher Jakama Kumwembe and newly roped in goal-poacher, Clement Nyondo are facing late fitness test as they have been “struggling with injuries” this week.
Kumwembe who joined the Club from Civil Service United last season is looking to bounce back and prove his worth after seeing his level of performance dropping towards the end of the season after a great start to his life in Blue colours.
“Kumwembe and Nyondo are still struggling with their fitness but they are in the camp with the team and we will see whether they will be in the squad,” said Ramadan.
Nyondo was the winner of the golden boot in 2023 and he carries much expectations from the Nomads who want to see him recovering his goal threat in Wanderers’ jerseys.
