Silver Strikers have received a significant boost on the injury front as they prepare for a highly anticipated 2025 Airtel Top 8 semifinal rematch against Civil Service United this Sunday at Bingu National Stadium.
Key players Maxwell Paipi, Emmanuel Allan, Duncan Nyoni, and Charles Chipala are all back in contention, providing a welcome lift for the “Central Bankers.”
The return of Vice-Captain Maxwell Paipi is particularly welcome news. Paipi, who missed last weekend’s match against Blue Eagles after pulling his right thigh muscle on national duty, has resumed training and is expected to play a crucial role in the defense.

Upfront, forward Emmanuel Allan rejoins the squad this week after recovering from a shin injury sustained in a friendly against Villa FC. His presence will add much-needed firepower to Silver’s attack. Also available for selection is Duncan Nyoni, who has returned to training this week after missing last week’s game due to illness.
In a positive development for the defense, Charles Chipala is back on his feet and currently undergoing light training. While his full return to match fitness will take time, his progress from a hamstring injury is encouraging for the squad’s depth.
However, it’s not all clear skies for Silver Strikers. Captain Chikondi Kamanga remains a doubt for Sunday’s clash, as he’s undergoing rehabilitation for a slight ankle pain. The left-back position also faces challenges, with Precious Sambani still out due to a knee injury.
He joins Samuel Ademeyi, who is recovering from a hamstring injury, and Gift Chunga, sidelined with a toe injury, in rehabilitation.
Despite these ongoing concerns, the return of four key players provides Silver Strikers with renewed optimism as they head into this crucial semifinal. The Central Bankers will be looking to leverage their strengthened squad to overcome their cross-town rivals and secure a spot in the Airtel Top 8 final. The Bingu National Stadium is set for a thrilling encounter.
