Mwansa looks to hurt his former bosses

Moyale Barracks Head Coach, Prichard Mwansa said Moyale Barracks are geared to get off to a good start in the 2024 season.

Mwansa who guided Mafco FC to two Cup finals before losing to FCB Nyasa Big Bullets returned to Moyale earlier this year though the Salima-based Soldiers announced that the coach would return to the Club for the 2024 Football Season.

However, Mwansa looks to have settled for Moyale’s job and he said his players are set to start the new season with a win as they welcome Mafco at Mzuzu Stadium this afternoon.

“We know that it will be tough playing against Mafco FC because they are a good side also. But, as Moyale we are having good preps for this match and we are hoping to get a positive result.

“The players are training much and they are giving us hope that they are gonna perform, and play good football when we face Mafco.

“We will play for Results, we have registered new faces and the other experienced players that have been here for three, four years, we are having a good squad,” he said.

Moyale Barracks needed a last-game miracle to stay in the league last season. They thumped Red Lions with a good margin to force Blue Eagles to the danger zone.

The last time The Lions of Kaning’ina produced a good run in the league was in 2014 when they finished second behind the winners, Big Bullets.
