Speaking to the media after the signing ceremony, Reverend Chimwenje said they want to transform people’s lives through sports evangelism hence the sponsorship.
“From the time that we started spreading the gospel through Sports Evangelism, a lot of people have changed which encouraged us to come to Ntcheu,” Chimwenje said.
He further promised the district’s association that come next year, he will provide a better package but that will depend on the way they will handle what they have now.
“This is just the beginning and it’s up to them to keep the sponsorship safe by working transparently,” he indicated.
In his remarks, General Secretary for Central Region Football Association (CRFA) Antonio Manda, said the sponsorship has just come at the right time because their mission is to do whatever it takes to secure sponsorships for all the districts in the region.
“It was a concern for us looking at Ntcheu as one of the districts without a district league sponsor but this is now history as they have been blessed by His Grace Ministries,” Manda highlighted.
He has therefore; urged Ntcheu District Football Association to keep the sponsorship safe by being professional enough in running the affairs of the league.
“They know how tough it is to be without a sponsor and now that they have secured one, their only option is to take care of it,” he added.
General Secretary for Ntcheu District Football League Clement Mafula thanked Chimwenje for the sponsorship indicating that they will not disappoint their sponsor in any way.
“We have struggled a lot so we can’t afford to lose this sponsorship,” Mafula said.
Reverend Chimwenje is also sponsoring a Chipiku Premier division side Mitundu Baptist FC and for three seasons, he sponsored the Lilongwe District Football Association league.
