Mighty Mukuru Wanderers Acting Coach, Meke Mwase said the players are ready to bring smiles to the Nomads after two back-to-back appointments as they face Dedza Dynamos Football Club at Kamuzu Stadium this afternoon.

The Nomads were struck by Silver bullets before facing Hammers’ hammers in their next game in Mzuzu prompting the supporters to bay for players’ blood and sacking of the coach, Nsazurwimo Ramadan.

Hours later, Ramadan tendered his resignation letter as the Head Coach of the team, allowing Meke Mwase to step into the leading role. His first assignment as the leader of the team is to face the Premier Bet-sponsored side.

Speaking to the Club’s Media ahead of the match, Mwase says he is not under pressure and the team will do everything possible to bring smiles to Lali Luban-based side.

“I am not new at the Club and the players are the same. I understand we have sailed through troubled waters but there is no need for me to be under pressure, we just need to do the right things and get back to the winning ways,” he said.

“We recognize the fact that they [Dedza Dynamos] are a good team but we are not scared to face them, we will do our part to produce the desired result and bring smiles to our supporters.”

Since 2022, Premier Bet Dedza Dynamos have faced Mighty Mukuru Wanderers seven times including two friendly matches with Wanderers holding an upper hand, with four wins and three draws ( two league wins, one cup game win, one friendly game win and two draws in the league, one in a friendly testing match).

The charismatic coach, Andrew Bunya hopes that it is time for Premier Bet Dedza Dynamos FC to manage its first win against Mighty Mukuru Wanderers.

“This is a different season and I know we haven’t recorded any wins against them so we have to change that,” Bunya said.
