AZJ Constructions Company has injected MK2.5 million into the Football Legends Association (FLA) as the former stars prepare for a friendly match against their Zambian counterparts next month.
The construction firm’s managing director, Alaa Jawad, announced that the company will award the legends an additional MK2 million should they emerge victorious against Zambia on December 28, 2025.

In a performance-driven approach, AZJ has also introduced match incentives, offering K200,000 for a clean sheet and K200,000 for each goal scored during the encounter.
“We have been supporting the association—this is not the first time. As a company that has been operating in Malawi for six years, we allocate funds for social responsibility,” Jawad said.
“We have seen that our legends need assistance. These are people who contributed immensely to Malawi’s football and entertained us over the years. They deserve to be looked after for what they have given to the game.”

FLA board member Victor Msowoya, who also chairs the resource mobilization committee, commended AZJ Constructions for their continued support.
“One of our strategies is to approach corporate companies for support, and many have responded positively. We approached AZJ when we played against Reserve Bank Socials, and they came through again this time. They are a very good partner,” Msowoya said.
The backing from AZJ comes a day after the Association unveiled a MK2 million sponsorship from Zapamwamba Investment on Friday, bringing the total raised funds closer to their target.
FLA is aiming to raise approximately MK50 million for their operations and currently faces a shortfall of around MK10 million.
