After overseeing the team in just eight league matches, the former FCB Nyasa Big Bullets Super League winning coach has decided to leave his post as he feels that he is no longer being loved at the Club.
He confirmed in an interview with Nation Sport this evening stating, “If the table doesn’t serve you anymore, what do you do?… complete the sentence…yes! I won’t comment further.”
After two wins over newly promoted teams, CRECK Sporting Club and FOMO FC, Ramadan felt that he had the winning formula but he lost two games, drawing twice in his last five games at the Club.
The team endured morale-milking results in the last five games, winning just once including two back-to-back defeats against Silver Strikers and Mzuzu City Hammers.
After a 2-0 defeat at Mzuzu Stadium on Saturday, the atmosphere became harsh for the Coach as the supporters demanded his ‘immediate’ sacking of players were also in trouble as fans demanded them to walk on foot for a below-par performance.
The Nomads have been hunting for glory in the last six years, watching their cross-town sworn rivals, FCB Nyasa Big Bullets claim five TNM Super League Championships and they only won one trophy [Airtel Top 8.]
In a season that they are labeling a “making Mighty Mukuru Wanderers might again”, the Nomads are already far from the title race as they are 10 points adrift of the leaders, Silver Strikers.
The Club is yet to issue a statement on the development but Wa Mpira understands that the Nomads are ready to allow Meke Mwase to step into the leading role in the technical panel as they feel that he has “vast experience and is ready to manage the squad.”
