Malawian international Kouakou Yann continued his impressive return from injury on Friday night, scoring in Europa Point FC’s commanding 7-0 victory over Hound Dogs FC in the Gibraltar National League.
The 25-year-old forward netted his side’s third goal in the away rout, taking his tally to two goal contributions (one goal and one assist) in just two matches since recovering from injury.
The victory marked Europa Point’s first back-to-back wins of the season, lifting them to 7th place with 13 points from 13 games in the 12-team standings. Having previously defeated Glacis United at home, the club is now firmly in contention for a place in the championship group, reserved for the top six teams.

Yann’s recent performances have not gone unnoticed beyond Gibraltar. Sources close to the player reveal that Irish Premier Division side Finn Harps have expressed strong interest in signing the striker, with officials closely monitoring his progress.
Finn Harps are reportedly prepared to offer Yann a contract should he successfully complete trials with the club. However, they face competition for his signature, with several clubs across Europe, including teams in Armenia, also tracking the forward’s development.
Scouts have been particularly impressed by Yann’s exceptional technique, powerful physique, and precise passing ability—attributes that have made him a standout performer in the Gibraltar league.
The growing interest from multiple European clubs suggests an exciting crossroads in Yann’s career, with the possibility of a move away from Gibraltar becoming increasingly likely.
