The South African club’s interest in Singo was significantly piqued by his standout performance at the recent 2025 Hollywoodbets COSAFA Cup. Despite Malawi’s overall performance in the tournament, Singo’s exceptional play saw him earn a spot in the Best XI of the Group Stages, showcasing his talent on a regional platform.

In a curious arrangement, Golden Arrows and FCB Nyasa Big Bullets have reportedly agreed that Singo will not be immediately utilized by Bullets upon his return to avoid potential injuries before the transfer is finalized. This arrangement has seen Singo miss three games since his return from the COSAFA Cup.

FCB Nyasa Big Bullets Chief Executive Officer, Albert Chigoga, has, until now, consistently denied reports to the media regarding the transfer.

This denial is understood to be part of a pre-agreed clause in the deal, with both clubs having decided to make an official announcement only after Singo has formally signed his contract with Lamontville Golden Arrows.

Yankho Singo has been an indispensable figure in the Bullets’ midfield since his remarkable return to the first team in 2023.

After initially struggling for game time following his promotion from the Reserve side, he cemented his place, playing a pivotal role in the team’s historic quadruple win in 2023. His consistent excellence was further recognized in 2024 when he was named the Airtel Top 8 Cup Player of the Tournament, and he has since become a regular fixture in the Malawi National Team.
