Buoyant CRECK Sporting Club and Mzuzu City Hammers are battling for the points as they look to avoid suffering second successive defeats.
Both teams are coming from disappointing away trips with CRECK Sporting Club seeing their good start ending in the hands of Mighty Mukuru Wanderers while Hammers were beaten by Mighty Waka Waka Tigers in Blantyre.

The Patron of CRECK, Apostle Kawinga has fuelled up the team’s spirit with a promise of a trip to England for a series of friendly games. “God willing, I will fly with teams abroad for a series of friendly games and I want these players to be groomed to the best standards of international level,” he said.
A good season will give Kawinga the passion to fulfill his promise and recover from Wanderers’ catastrophe can prove that they can be a surprise package this season.

“I want the players to forget about that 3-0 defeat to Mighty Mukuru Wanderers,” he added. The players and the technical panel were given MK9.5 Million which they shared for winning two opening games.
Macdonald Nginde Mtetemera who admitted that his boys were second best to Wanderers in their previous game said they are motivated by Kawinga’s gesture and they want to payback.

“We are really motivated and we promise to bring positive results in our next games,” he said.
Meanwhile, on his part, Coach Elias Chirambo said they expect a tough game against CRECK Sporting Club.
“We are playing against a good side and we’re coming from a loss and they’re also coming from a loss so it won’t be an easy game but we’re going to make sure that at the end of the day, we should get the maximum points,” he said.
Both teams have recorded two wins from the opening three games and they have six points each. CRECK are fifth while Hammers are fourth.
