Wanderers dominated the most of the game with a beautiful tik-taka display of football that gave satisfaction to their supporters.
The nomads claimed the authority of the match right in the first minute when Gaddie Chirwa produced a screamer from outside the box that led into a first corner kick of the match.
The Nomads kept coming wave after wave which awarded them a penalty on 17 minutes following a foul on Timothy Silwimba which former captain, Sanudi coolly converted in the 19th minute.
Christopher Kumwembe headed home a second goal from Sanudi’s well-taken corner kick for the Nomads to claim a 2-0 lead at the break.
Towards the end of the match, the visitor’s captain, Hadji Wali made a silly blunder that Wanderers capitalized through Chirwa to cement a 3 – 0 victory. Midfielder Wisdom Mpinganjira was voted man of the match for helping his team to claim the glory.
Wanderers’ assistant coach, Meck Mwase was all smiles after the game and he congratulated his lads for following instructions and working hard to get the maximum points.
“We are a team that is in progress and congratulations to the players for getting the 3 points. Going forward, we are going to work on finishing as we missed a lot of chances that would have been converted,” he said.
On his part, Creck Sporting Club head coach, McDonald Nginde Mtetemera conceded the defeat and promised to come back stronger in the next assignments.
“We struggled against Wanderers today, and honestly, we were not good in all departments. Good luck to Wanderers for the win as this gives us an assignment to do when we get back to the drawing board.
“We have noted deficits in so many areas that we will work on, we are optimistic that we will come back stronger and continue to get good results in the upcoming games,” Nginde explained.
Following the victory, Wanderers have now collected 7 points from 3 games played and comfortably sits on top of the log table while Creck Sporting Club remains on 6 points as they have failed to collect a point from today’s game rendering them on position 5.
