Songwe Border United’s struggles in the 2025 TNM Super League continued on Sunday, May 25, following a 2-0 defeat to Creck Sporting Club at Aubrey Dimba Stadium in Mchinji.
The loss marked the third game in charge for new head coach Christopher Nyambose, who recently replaced Enoch Mhone Mhone has now taken up the role of assistant coach.
The newly promoted Songwe Border United are yet to taste victory in the top-flight league. After seven games, they have collected just one point and conceded 21 goals, leaving them firmly rooted in the relegation zone and raising serious concerns about their Super League survival.

Reacting to the defeat, Nyambose pointed to the team’s inexperience as a key factor behind their continued poor form.
“It’s very unfortunate that we lost to Creck. They’re not a bad team, but experience helps them. We gave them space, which allowed them to score,” he said.
Creck Sporting Club, under caretaker coach Harrison Saidi, continue their revival after a rocky start to the season that led to the suspension of Joseph Kamwendo.
Saidi, speaking after the game, expressed satisfaction with his side’s performance:
“It was a tough match, but I’m happy with how the boys responded. We’re building something,” he said.
The win—Creck’s first under Saidi—lifts them to 11th place on the table with 8 points from 7 matches.
