Friends of Mulanje Orphans, FOMO Football Club are yet to get a point away from home but they have chalked two home wins this season.

Heading into week seven, both CRECK and FOMO FC who are from the Central and Southern Region Football Association respectively have been tasked to battle for points and supremacy.
CRECK Sporting started the season with a home win over Mighty Waka Waka Tigers before edging out Moyale Barracks in a five-goal thriller but they were brutally hammered by Mighty Mukuru Wanderers, lost at home against Mzuzu City Hammers and Silver Strikers. They also played a 1-all stalemate against Baka City.
Head Coach, Macdonald Nginde Mtetemera said the game against their fellow rookies is very important and they want to use the home ground advantage.
“It’s been hard for us [recently], the past three games but we are aware [of] the importance of winning this game. We are doing everything possible so that we collect maximum points.
“We have tackled everywhere, goalkeeping, defense, midfield, and the attacking line. We want to make sure that everything is fine and do the right things.
“This is the time to give back to supporters as you know that they have been marvelous, they have been behind us and we want to give them back when we face FOMO FC,” he said.
Hanging 9th, CRECK Sporting Club will be looking to find a way to climb the table, hoping to displace Mighty Tigers who are fifth after thrashing Baka City on Thursday.
FOMO eye first away win
Twice traveling to Lilongwe, twice faltered. FOMO FC are looking to register their first away win in the elite league as they face CRECK Sporting on Saturday at Civo Stadium.
Gilbert Chirwa’s side have played two games away from home out of six fixtures, losing to Kamuzu Barracks before losing to Civil Service United.
Chirwa said this time around his players are looking eager to chalk the win as they are aiming to climb the table to higher positions.
“According to the training sessions that we have had, the boys are shaping well, and they scored a lot of goals. The strategy is to work hard and we are prepared to face CRECK Sporting Club,” he said.
FOMO FC have 7 points from six games this season.
