Masautso Elison Phinifolo, a recent graduate from the Malawi University of Business and Applied Sciences (MUBAS), is the proud new owner of a Nissan Magnite car, valued at K83 million, thanks to Premier Bet. Phinifolo, who completed his Bachelor of Arts and Communication studies, hit the jackpot in the Premier Bet “Waiphula” competition last Saturday, securing the grand prize.
The official handover ceremony took place today at Premier Bet’s offices in Kapenga, Limbe, Blantyre.
The 26-year-old, unmarried Elison, originally from Traditional Authority Khongoni in Lilongwe, expressed his joy and relief. He shared that the car will significantly ease transportation challenges for him and his family. He recounted his disbelief upon receiving the initial call about his win, finding it hard to believe he had won such a valuable car.

“I’m very happy to win this grand prize. I didn’t expect it; I was just playing, and fortunately, I’m the winner,” said a delighted Phinifolo. “This will be very vital to my family. It will change my life. I just have to praise Premier Bet for this. This is the very first time to win a grand prize like this. I’m very excited for this. I feel blessed, it’s a grace coming from God.”
Premier Bet encourages continued participation in “Waiphula”
Hamzah Mgaye, Community Manager for Premier Bet Malawi, affirmed the company’s commitment to its customers while encouraging continued participation.
“We are very excited that we have finally now handed over the car to our winner, Masautso Elison Phinifolo from Lilongwe. We are happy that we have fulfilled the promise we made,” Mgaye stated.
He also announced that the “Waiphula” competition is still ongoing, with plans to award another car on December 31st this year. “We urge our customers to continue betting with Premier Bet. We also have weekly prizes where people are winning TVs, Smart Phones, and Motorbikes,” Mgaye added.
To enter the draw for these exciting prizes, customers simply need to place a stake of MK1000. Since its launch earlier this year, the competition has consistently rewarded participants with various prizes, including refrigerators, televisions, phones, and motorcycles every weekend.
