The Confederation already announced the dates when will the tournament be played including the dates for registering players. Silver Strikers Head Coach, Peter Mgangira after hammering Ekhaya FC last Saturday said his team is ready for the tournament banking on the international exposure of the players.
“We are ready for Champions League,” said Mgangira when pressed by the media. “We are the defending champions in Super League and we have quality in our squad to compete with the clubs in the Champions League.
“Our players play in the Malawi National Team and they have experience and exposure. We believe that this will help us when playing these matches at international level.
“We have a very good squad, some players are injured and I believe that when they are fit and join the squad, we will have a very good squad that can compete at international level,” said Mgangira.

Silver Strikers lost their midfield maestro, Chimwemwe Idana who joined Zambian side, Zanaco FC in a deal worth around MK53 Million. While Mgangira admits that the former FCB Nyasa Big Bullets Vice Captain is irreplaceable, he said the team has other players who can play his position.
Silver’s title winning squad remain intact with also few additions that they made before the 2025/26 season commenced. Asked on whether the team will consider signing other players, Mgangira said, “This should be the news of another day but we have players, some are injured, when they are in the squad, we are good to go.”
