Kalisto Pasuwa has recommended the signing of the three players who are undergoing trials at the Club after assessing them for a month, as called by Malawi Broad Broadcasting Corporation ( MBC) Radio 2.
The players, Mathews Masamba, and two Zimbabweans, Ronald Chitiyo and Collins Majuru have impressed the technical panel hence recommendations.
FCB Nyasa Big Bullets Chief Administrative Officer, Albert Chigoga confirmed the development to MBC Radio 2’s Praise Mike Majawa that they are now working on the contracts of the three players.
“We will not go until details regarding whether these players have signed the contracts or not because once we sign the players, we offer them contracts we make it public so that our supporters and all football loving Malawians know that Bullets have added to it’s squad, new players,” he said.
“But we have recommendations from the Head Coach [Kalisto Pasuwa] and his backroom staff that they are very satisfied with how these players have performed during the Pre-season training.
“The recommendation is with us and we are working on their contracts, so once we finalize this process, we are going to announce that these players are now with FCB Nyasa Big Bullets.”
A source close to the Club last week confirmed with this Publication that the technical panel was impressed with the performance of the two Zimbabwean players despite not playing a single game for the team.
“Though Ronald Chitiyo is in his early 30s but he is a baller. We are relating his style of play to that of Mike Mkwate, and I’m sure the technical panel has been impressed.
“Majuru is a very good defender, being a left-footed Centre-half is an added advantage, so we are hopeful that they will sign contracts,” he said.
Mathews Masamba was released by Mighty Mukuru Wanderers earlier last month and he has played two games for the team and scored two goals.
Chitiyo is commonly known as Rooney, an experienced player who was playing as a midfielder for Zimbabwe Premier Soccer League side CAPS United and plays for the Zimbabwe national team.
