“Out to haunt another giant” CRECK “ready” to oust Moyale

Macdonald Nginde Mtetemera said his charges are ready to face another giant this Sunday at Civo Stadium.

The newly promoted team, CRECK Sporting Club sitting on top of the 2024 TNM Super League was off to a flying start after thrashing Mighty Waka Waka Tigers 3-0 in their opening game at Civo Stadium.

Coach, Nginde said the whole team is aware of the need to collect maximum points against Moyale Barracks.

“We are not at any pressure. The players are eager to play in every game we are having.

“Everybody, even the executive members, the technical team, and the players are ready to play the game and get maximum points.

“We know how they play. This is going to be a different game and we are prepared very well so that we should eliminate them and possibly get the points,” said Nginde.

No target for us, it will say by itself

Nginde helped Chitipa United to finish fourth in the league last season before dumping them for CRECK Sporting Club.

An ambitious team has been busy on the market signing players, spending K32 million on the transfer market to beef up the squad for for 2024 TNM Super League season.

They were the second-highest spender on the transfer market with Lilongwe-based Silver Strikers topping the list at K40 million, according to Nation Sport.

However, Nginde said the team does not have a target this season but it will set itself.

“Not at all, we don’t have a target. It will set by itself. We are just waiting for the time to face Moyale. At CRECK Sporting Club, is just about winning every game coming on our way.”

Moyale Barracks needed a late fight back to beat Mafco FC in their opening fixture Mzuzu Stadium. The Salima based Soldiers scored through Bernard Chimaimba but Charles Nkhoma cancelled the opener before Raphael Phiri scored the winner with two minutes left
