Match Week Fourteen of the 2025/26 TNM Super League served up a thrilling football spectacle, full of flair, drama, goals, a saved penalty, and standout performances.
A total of 29 goals were netted across the country, with Dastan Banda and John Francis Mchema bagging a brace in Mzuzu City Hammers and Blue Eagles demolishing, respectively.
Here is our opinion-based Best XI of Match Week Fourteen compiled by Blessings Chitekwere:

Goalkeeper: Innocent Nyasulu (FCB Nyasa Big Bullets)
Nyasulu kept two back-to-back clean sheets to help Bullets collect six points over Mzuzu City Hammers and MAFCO FC. The shot-stopper was voted Man of the Match in a 2-0 victory over Hammers. He saved a penalty to deny Samson Olatibosun a lead for the Hammers and was equally up to the task against the Salima-based soldiers.

Left back: Smey Chimunkho (Kamuzu Barracks)
The Kamuzu Barracks left back was very alert to thwart Blue Eagles’ pace and silky wingers, Micium Mhone, Levison Mnyenyembe, and Laurent Banda, and helped his team keep a clean sheet and collect maximum points in a 3-0 triumph.

Center back: John Dambuleni (Civil Service United)
Dambuleni is having a good season as a center back. He is scoring while helping his team to keep clean sheets in the last three consecutive matches. Dambuleni was a solid rock in the team’s defense, helping his side keep clean sheets against Mighty WakaWaka Tigers and Mzuzu City Hammers.

Center back: Eric Atsiga (Chitipa United)
The former Masters Security pillar is enjoying a rich vein of form at Chitipa. He was voted Man of the Match in a goalless stalemate against CRECK Sporting Club. Against Mighty Wanderers, he formed a strong defense that kept Wanderers’ attackers at bay, with the team only managing to equalize from a set piece.

Right back: Pilirani Thulu
The Karonga United skipper led his team past Moyale Barracks with a commanding performance. Karonga scored just 35 seconds into the match, and the Thulu-led backline held on to the lead to collect maximum points with a narrow 1-0 victory at Karonga Stadium.

Defending midfielder: Paul Master
Master was on his A-game in Match Week Fourteen, helping Bullets to collect six points in two away games. He controlled the midfield in his team’s 2-0 win over Mzuzu City Hammers and a narrow 1-0 victory over MAFCO. He was voted Player of the Match against MAFCO.

Central holding midfielder: Levison Maganizo (Silver Strikers)
Maganizo continued his good form from Match Week Thirteen, where he was voted Man of the Match in Silver’s 3-1 win over Ekhaya. In Match Week Fourteen, he was also voted for the same accolade in his team’s 2-1 victory over Premier Bet Dedza Dynamos.

Attacking midfielder: China Chirwa (MAFCO FC)
The former TN Stars hitman made it into the Match Week Fourteen Team of the Week for his impressive performance in MAFCO’s 3-1 victory away to Songwe Border United at Karonga Stadium. Chirwa scored and assisted to earn himself a Man of the Match accolade.

Right wing forward: John Francis Mchema (Kamuzu Barracks)
In just his first season in top-flight football, Mchema is already a household name with his goal-scoring and chance-creating abilities. The baby-faced assassin scored a brace and provided an assist as his team thumped Blue Eagles 3-0. He was voted Player of the Match.

Left wing forward: Andrew Joseph (Chitipa United)
The towering striker put in a relentless performance against Wanderers in Match Week Fourteen, scoring a goal in just the tenth minute of the match. He was voted Man of the Match and earns a place in this Team of the Week.

Center forward: Dastan Banda (Civil Service United)
The in-form striker is having a remarkable season as he has managed to secure himself a place at Civil in just his first season playing in the elite league for the club. In Match Week Fourteen, Banda scored three goals in two games, the most by any player in the week.
