The Office of the President and Cabinet has accepted the resignation of Civil Service United’s Chief Executive Officer, Edgar Chipalanjira, who will leave his position on 31st July 2025.
In a letter signed by the Secretary for the Office, Dr Maxwell S. Mtsitsi, dated 10th July 2025, the office accepted the letter which Chipalanjira wrote on 2nd July 2025 and thanked him for serving the team during his tenure.
“Your contribution has been instrumental in the progress made towards securing key partnerships that will serve as a foundation for the club’s continued growth.”

“Your tenure leaves behind a legacy of vision and commitment to the sport and to national service. We are grateful for your willingness to continue supporting the club during the transition, and we trust that your experience and counsel will remain valuable assets to the broader sporting community,” wrote part of the statement.
Meanwhile, Chipalanjira confirmed his departure from the team but refused to talk much on the issue.
“This is purely for personal reasons to pursue personal goals, but it’s true that I’m resigning,” said Chipalanjira in a short interview.
Chipalanjira served as the team’s General Secretary in 2023 before rising to CEO in 2024, and as per his resignation letter, his time ends on 31st July 2025.
