Nottingham Forest is thrilled to announce that Head Coach Nuno Espírito Santo has committed his future to the club, signing a new long-term contract ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.

Owner Evangelos Marinakis has moved swiftly to secure the services of the manager who masterminded an extraordinary 2024/25 season for the Reds, culminating in the club’s highest league finish in 30 years and a return to UEFA European competition for the first time since 1995/96.

Nuno’s impact since arriving at the City Ground has been profound. Last season, he steered Forest to remarkable away victories over Liverpool and Manchester United – the first time the club had achieved these feats in 55 and 30 years respectively.

Under his guidance, Forest also embarked on their longest top-flight winning streak since 1967, showcasing a transformed team spirit and tactical prowess. His exceptional work did not go unnoticed, as he claimed three Premier League Manager of the Month awards in October, December, and March, more than any other manager during the 2024/25 season.

Beyond the pitch, Nuno has seamlessly integrated into the Forest family and the wider Nottingham community. He demonstrated his commitment to local engagement by welcoming the local learning disability team, Warriors United, to the City Ground for a unique behind-the-scenes experience during a first-team open training session.

Furthermore, Nuno wholeheartedly embraced owner Evangelos Marinakis’ impactful ‘Home For Christmas’ campaign, participating in a visit to Nottingham’s Queen’s Medical Centre and joining a Christmas party to hand out presents to local children, embodying the club’s community-first ethos.

He has demonstrated that he maximises player performance and is an expert at developing players, whilst also embedding our young talent into the first team set-up.

“We enjoy a strong and solid relationship together and, above all, we share the same dream and ambition of writing a new history for Nottingham Forest, competing in the Premier League and in Europe and winning trophies for our great club!”
