Ntopwa Queens lost in a similar fashion to the Nomads in the first round, but their win was the sweetest as it came when both teams thought it would end in a stalemate.
Assistant coach for Kukoma Ntopwa Queens, Chikumbutso Henry, hailed his players for a brilliant display in the game, which gave them a win.
“We thought of playing Olivia Phikani to the right because Wanderers rely on Faluna Umali, so we managed to stop them. Most importantly, we never gave up and it is good that we won this game,” said Henry.
On his part, Mighty Wanderers Queens head coach Thom Kazembe said his team were very low in the game, hence the defeat.
“We were very low in the game and second on the ball. I will just say that we did not play well today,” said Kazembe.
The win took Kukoma Ntopwa Queens up to fifth in the League with 21 points from 6 wins, three draws and four losses, while Mighty Wanderers Queens dropped from third to 6th with 20 points from 6 wins, two draws and five defeats.

On his part, John Chimwala of Moyale Sisters hailed his players for their brilliant performance despite the defeat in the game.
“We gave it away in the first half where we conceded easy goals, but in the second half we came strong and I am happy that my players are improving a lot in the game,” said Chimwala.
