Company owner Ishmael Ajawa confirmed the development to Wa Mpira, following earlier reports from the association.

Ajawa’s confirmation comes just days after DDFA General Secretary Hashim Shosholoza Adam revealed that discussions are approximately 70% complete.
“I can confirm that the league will likely kick off next month in October, as we are close to reaching an agreement with the association,” Ajawa said.
He explained that his passion for football has motivated him to sponsor a league that will serve as a second tier to the Saint Louis High School Dedza District Football League.
“I am a football fanatic, and this is why I want to play a role in developing the game in our district,” Ajawa explained.
He assured football enthusiasts in the district that they should support the initiative for their common goal of football development.

Meanwhile, Shosholoza has advised teams not currently participating in the Saint Louis High School Dedza District Football League to stay active in preparation for the new competition.
“This league will exclusively cover teams that are not playing in the Saint Louis High School Dedza District Football League, so they should prepare themselves,” he said.
