FCB Nyasa Big Bullets Head Coach, Peter Mponda, has provided a positive update on attacker Chikumbutso Salima’s availability for the much-anticipated Airtel Top 8 Cup final staged for this weekend at Bingu National Stadium.
Salima has not played for Bullets in their last two matches — against Silver Strikers in the First Capital Bank match and their recent defeat to Civil Service United.
The People’s Team are geared for the battle of the dominants in the tournament, and Salima, who has been the main attacking threat for the team this season, is expected to be featured.

Speaking during the pre-match press conference on Friday in Lilongwe, Head Coach Peter Mponda confirmed that the team will only miss youngster Crispin Mapemba, who hasn’t kicked the ball this season due to injury.
“Apart from [Crispin] Mapemba, everyone is available for selection. It’s been a very good week of preparation; we have no excuse. I’m very happy with what I have seen in training,” he said.
Mike Mkwate and Andrew Jovinala have also traveled with the team to Lilongwe after missing last week’s frustrating outing to Civil.
Salima has registered six goals and five assists this season already.
