Mpinganjira: Wanderers ready for Galaxy test without pressure

Mighty Wanderers head coach Bob Mpinganjira insists his team feels no pressure ahead of tonight’s crucial clash with Jwaneng Galaxy in Botswana.

The Nomads travel to Botswana carrying a valuable 1-0 advantage from the first leg, with Felix Zulu’s goal last Sunday in Malawi giving them the edge. However, Wanderers will be mindful of missed opportunities in that match that could have secured a more comfortable cushion.

Speaking ahead of the 7pm kickoff (local time), Mpinganjira expressed confidence in his squad’s preparation and mindset.

“We are ready for the game – all the players are fit and prepared to play. We are not under pressure at all,” Mpinganjira said. “We know we are playing a good side at their home ground, and it will be tough because we’re playing away. But we’re ready for it and hoping to get a good result.”

Despite holding a slender lead, the Wanderers coach emphasized his team’s attacking intentions.

“We will take this game seriously and go flat out. We know we have a goal in the bag, but our aim is still to win. We will attack them right from the start to try and get a goal, and I’m sure we will be okay.”
