Mchisu Community Day secondary School from Dedza district has expressed reading ahead of this weekend’s Ching’onga Trophy competition scheduled for Saturday, July 19th, 2025 at Lilongwe Teachers Training College ground.
The school will represent Dedza after emerging champions in both Football and Netball category at district level played on 10th May, 2025.
One of the school’s sports teachers Imran Raul Yoyola told Wa Mpira publication that they are more thanK ready for the competition.

“We have always been ready since the day we knew that we will represent the district in the Trophy and we’re aiming high for it,” Yoyola said.He revealed that the school has young players that are geared to bring back the lost glory.”
Trust me we’re going there aiming to be champions as well as we did at district level,” he said.
The school will depend on the likes of Lawrence Ligomeka, Mayamiko Sodah Maulana, Mike Kambalame, Jafali Andrew and Remember Makaika among others in their football team while the experienced Memory Kampira, Stella Billiat, Charity Chimwala, Patie Cholimbira carries all the hopes for the Netball team.
The school will compete with fellow schools from Ntcheu, Lilongwe Rural West, Lilongwe Rural East, Lilongwe Urban and Mchinji.
