Moyale Barracks Football Club are targeting to make Mzuzu Stadium, a fortress in 2024 as the team aims to compete for titles this season.
The 2014 TNM Super League runners-up have recently failed to compete for trophies and they needed the last-game miracles in 2023 to survive in the elite league. They hammered Red Lions 7-0 thereby forcing Blue Eagles into the red zone.

However, the Lions of Kaning’ina have started well this season, winning two of their first three games and all of their wins came from the home soil.
Prichard Mwansa who is leading the team’s technical panel from outside the bench, in an interview with Wa Mpira said they want to win all of the home games this season.

“It will not be easy to win all of our games at home but we will try as much as possible to do it. We want to improve our game every time,” he said.
Moyale Barracks came from behind to beat Mafco FC 2-1 in their opening game but they lost to CRECK Sporting Club in their second game of the season. On Saturday afternoon, they returned home with Civil Service United being their visitors and they recorded a convincing 3-0 win.
“Civil Service United are a very good side, but it is the fruits of our preparations. We knew that they would come stronger and we had to prepare well for the game hence the win,” he added.
Moyale Barracks opened the scores through Raphael Phiri who stunned his former team in the first half before Charles Nkhoma and Chifundo Damba scored a goal each in the second half.
