Former FCB Nyasa Big Bullets Reserve and Bangwe All Stars goalkeeper, Elias Missi is facing allegations of match fixing after conceding what are being described as cheap goals against Silver Strikers.
The Cowboys suffered their first heavy defeat of the season when they were smashed 3-1 by Silver Strikers last weekend in Lilongwe. Elias Missi was beaten by Charles Chipala after failing to clear a corner-kick before conceding the second goal when Chinsisi Maonga who was trying to cross the ball. Uchizi Vunga nailed the last goal from distance.

Following the development, Ekhaya Football Club have suspended their goalkeeper and they have instituted an investigation against him as they are accusing him of match fixing, according to Wa Ganyu.

Missi will not be involved in any activities for the club for an unspecified period as the club received reports from Lilongwe about his misconduct.
Elias Missi was slapped with a three-match suspension by the Super League of Malawi for misconduct against FCB Nyasa Big Bullets and the club was also slapped with a MK3 Million penalty for failing to control the behavior of their player.
Ekhaya have also decided to pay the fine using Missi’s salary meaning that he may not be getting payment from the club in the next six months as he said to be receiving MK500, 000 monthly.
