Silver Strikers Head Coach Peter Mgangira has publicly commended young midfielder Lasuli Jali, who is steadily being integrated into the club’s main squad after a standout season with the reserve team.
Jali, crowned the Silver Strikers Reserve Player of the Year in 2024, will not be returning to the reserve side, signaling a clear upward trajectory in his burgeoning career.

Mgangira is employing a deliberate approach to bring Jali into the senior setup, a strategy that has proven successful for the Bankers in the past.
Notable names like Maxwell Paipi, Zebron Kalima, Innocent Shema, and Dan Sandukira all transitioned successfully from the reserve ranks to become key figures in the first team. Jali’s promotion earlier this season follows this well-trodden path, a reward for his exceptional performances in 2024.
In recent matches, Jali has been given minutes with the senior squad, allowing him to acclimate to the intensity of top-flight football. Coach Mgangira has expressed particular satisfaction with the youngster’s attitude and professionalism.
“He is a young player whom we want to build by giving him few minutes, test the heat of the game,” Mgangira stated. “He has potential to become one of the good players. He is learning, well disciplined.”
