Former Football Association of Malawi Marketing Manager, Limbani Cliff Matola has been appointed as the new marketing manager at the Malawi National Council Of Sports barely months after leaving his position at Chiwembe.
Matola saw his contract not being extended after expiring in February. He left the position after serving it for 8 years, a journey which he described as successful after “shaping” the image of the Associations.

MNCS Chief Executive Officer, Henry Kamata in a statement said the Council appointed Matola as Director of planning, Marketing, and infrastructure following the functional review that was undertaken at the Council.
“We need to build the capacity of both administrative and technical officials to identify and nurture talent for sports. I believe that the sports lovers will embrace the new direction,” said Kamata.
Meanwhile, Matola in an interview said he is looking forward to starting working and promises to do his best in line with the functional review that the Council is going through.
Others who have been appointed to the Council are Director of Human Resources and Administration, Lameck Goman, Director of Sports and Recreation Development Ivy Kondowe Chinangwa, and Director of Finance, Shephord Boma.
During his stay as FAM Marketing Manager, Matola in 2019 was appointed by Fifa to be part of the organisation team for the Fifa Under-20 World Cup in Poland. Last year, he was also named The Best Sales Personality of the Year by IMM according to Nation Sport.
