The 2 teams come into the match with contrasting fortunes. While MAFCO’s target is to move out of the danger zone as they currently occupy 13th position with 18 points just 2 above 14th placed Tigers FC, Ekhaya on the end are still eyeing a top 4 position as they current occupy 6thposition with 26 points,4 adrift of a top 4 slot.
Saturday’s fixtures continue by featuring two highly anticipated matches across different venues.
At Kamuzu Stadium, the spotlight will be on the clash between FCB Nyasa Big Bullets and Dedza Dynamos. Referee Gift Chicco will take charge of this fixture, supported by assistants Pondamali Tembo and Sibusiso Sibande. Shaibu Kassim will act as the fourth official, while Jones Chimeza serves as the match assessor.
Bullets will aim to extend their lead at the top of the summit with 4 points as their closest challenger Mighty Wanderers are away in Botswana on CAF Confederations Cup assignment and Silver Strikers will be busy in the CAF Champions League.
Since that first round last day 3-3 disappointing home draw against Karonga United, Bullets seem to have picked up their pieces as they remain unbeaten in both league and cup football.
With 21 points, Dedza are just 5 points from the drop zone and the narrative can change if results don’t go their way in the next 2 games, as such their fixture against Bullets has huge potential of defining their fate.
Meanwhile, at Civo Stadium, Civil Service United will host Kamuzu Barracks with Hendrix Liponda as the center referee. His assistants will be Yonas Jonas and Limbani John, with Rodrick Kapatamoyo designated as the fourth official and Ellah Banda as the match assessor.
The Civil servants have been enjoying some rich vein of form late and last time they were in action in the league the saw off big money spenders Ekhaya FC 1-0 and Coach Abbas Makawa will be banking on that result to keep the momentum going in his team.
The Servants have all the chances of moving into the top 4 if they collect all maximum points over Kamuzu Barracks.
On the other hand, KB’s inconsistencies haven’t done them any justice reaching this far, as from 17 games the former Super league champions have managed to collect 25 points and are currently on position 7.

Sunday’s fixtures will see action spread across three different stadiums in what promises to be an exciting day of football.
At Aubrey Dimba Stadium, Creck Sporting will take on Blue Eagles under the watchful eye of referee Mcloud Dickson. He will be assisted by Charles Lulaka and Chipiliro Phiri, with Charles Chimimba serving as the fourth official and Simon Jovinala as the match assessor.
Since his arrival at Creck, Eliya Kananji’s has been struggling for consistency failing to breakthrough into the top 4 and currently lie on position 10 with 20 points from 17 games whilst their Sunday’s opponents are on position 8 with 24 points from same number of games.
A Creck win would see them just move one step up into 9th place assuming Dedza won’t get a result on Saturday against Bullets while as for the Eagles, a win has huge potential of elevating them into position 5.
The northern region will witness Chitipa United hosting Moyale Barracks at Chitipa Stadium, where David Chinokowill officiate the match. His assistant referees will be Pius Kamanga and Obeti Mhango, with Melluce Nyirongo as the fourth official and Pauper Mkandawire as the match assessor.
The third Sunday fixture will see Karonga United welcome Songwe Border at Karonga Stadium. Notably, Mercy Kayira has been appointed as the referee for this encounter, with Lameck Phiri and Khumbo Mandhlopa as her assistants. Joel Nzunda will serve as the fourth official, while Zuza Nyondo takes on the role of match assessor.
Wednesday, October 1, 2025
The week concludes with a midweek fixture at Mzuzu Stadium, where Mzuzu City Hammers will face Mighty Tigers. Waliko Simfukwe has been assigned as the referee, with Steve Nyirenda and Moses Golomba as his assistants. Deus Nyirongo will be the fourth official, and Kalyoto Ngosi will serve as the match assessor.
