“Let’s keep the good win and we’ll see how the season ends,” Kalisto Pasuwa tells his players to be consistent after the game.
“We have 30 players that are supposed to participate in these games, although we had a problem with some of the guys, maybe in the first game we had half of the team out, again in the second game but that I wouldn’t take much on why we are failing to score, the available guys had to score. We need to improve for us to win games and today, we played well, and the guys scored.”
Chitipa United have now suffered two defeats in three games and Assistant Coach, Elvis Kafoteka said his team is taking shape.
He said, “A painful loss for us because we prepared to win the game. We controlled the game in the first half, at least a point would be enough but my boys didn’t play the way we trained them. We have lost, it’s part of the game, and we will go back to the drawing board.
“It will take time for the players to play as a unit because we are building a new team, it happens. The way the players played in the first half gives us some hope that we will have a good team. Unfortunately, we have lost, but it doesn’t mean that we fear them [Big Bullets], the boys gave everything.”
Patrick Mwaungulu carried FCB Nyasa Big Bullets on his shoulders with a goal and an assist while Babatunde Adepoju scored for the People’s team with substitute, Ephraim Kondowe producing a masterclass 20-minute cameo with a goal and assisted Mwaungulu’s goal.

The hosts started on high with Stimella Muyira missing his effort in the fourth minute but Ernest Petro shot wide before Rajab Nyirenda shot his free-kick over the bar then Kennedy Nakhaima denied Patrick Mwaungulu with a save in the 21st minute after being found by Antony Mfune.
Babatunde Adepoju registered a goal in his first game since his return after Mwaungulu found him in the 23rd minute then Muyira was denied by Innocent Nyasulu on the half-hour mark as Babatunde missed on a one-on-one situation and Gomegzani Chirwa cleared the ball off the line after Muyira had beaten Nyasulu on 45th minute.
A low start from both teams in the second half was witnessed in the first 10 minutes then Mfune shot straight to Nakhaima before Jack Beza blasted over the bar on the hour mark and Mwaungulu was denied by Nakhaima 6 minutes later.
Bright Masebo replaced Muyira in the 70th minute for Chitipa as Ephraim Kondowe and Ronald Chitiyo came in for Babatunde and Mfune before Nyasulu denied Ramadan Ntafu with a brilliant save then Mwaungulu found Kondowe on 79th minute to double the scores and returned the favor two minutes later to Mwaungulu to score his own.
