Former Flames striker Khuda Muyaba says he has no plans to return home and play local football anytime soon, insisting he has more years to showcase his talent outside the country.
Muyaba, currently playing for Scotland FC in Zimbabwe, last featured in the Super League in 2019 when he scored 21 goals for Silver Strikers to clinch the golden boot award. From there, he joined South African side Polokwane City, where he played from 2019 to 2023.

The former Moyale Barracks forward played 62 matches and netted 24 goals for Polokwane City before being released. He then moved to Libyan side Tishreen Sports Club, but the stint was short-lived. Muyaba terminated his contract after the club failed to pay him and returned to South Africa in 2024 to join Richards Bay, before moving to Ma’an Sports Club in Jordan.
Earlier this year, Muyaba signed for Venda Academy in South Africa on a short-term deal, but did not renew his contract after it expired. He later joined Scotland FC in July.
However, his future at the club remains uncertain following reports that Scotland FC is considering offloading him along with 10 other players ahead of the 2026 season.
Muyaba has dismissed the rumors, saying he has a valid contract running until July 2027.
“It’s not true. I haven’t been informed about that. But should they decide to release me, they will have to pay me because I have a running contract expiring in 2027. Even if they release me, I will not play local football soon. I will go to another club outside the country. But that’s just social media talk—it’s not true,” said Muyaba.
The striker, who helped the national team qualify for the 2021 AFCON finals, played a key role in Scotland FC’s inaugural season, helping them win the league title. He scored one goal during the campaign.
