Karonga United Football Club has announced a generous donation of MK20 million from Lotus Mining Company. The club says the substantial contribution will be used to purchase new club kits for the upcoming season, ensuring the players are well-equipped as they represent the club and its supporters.
The donation is a testament to Lotus Mining Company’s commitment to social responsibility and its dedication to the development of the Karonga community.

Lotus Mining Company, which operates the Kayelekera Uranium Mine in the Karonga District, has a strong focus on community engagement. This partnership with Karonga United FC highlights their dedication to investing in local initiatives that foster growth and pride.
Karonga initially wrote a proposal to the company asking for a sponsorship which the company said they do not have enough money currently to sponsor them but could donate the little they had. They fulfilled their promise by donating MK20 Million.
