The soccer scene is buzzing as Silver Strikers have officially parted ways with Mzuzu-based tactician Kadenge Mwafulirwa, Wa Mpira can reveal. The separation was mutual, marking the end of a tenure that was initially set to run until 2025.
Kadenge, the former Ekwendeni Hammers coach, joined Silver Strikers with high hopes and aspirations. However, tensions arose during the period the club employed an expatriate mentor, leading to a strained relationship between Kadenge and the team.

Reports indicate that despite his absence from the Bankers’ benches, Silver Strikers continued to fulfill their contractual obligations by paying Kadenge. Now, with mutual agreements in place, Kadenge is free from his contractual ties and ready for new challenges.

Silver Strikers were considering redeploying Kadenge in 2023 after being found guilty by the Club’s Disciplinary Committee. De Jongh continued to work with Peter Mgangira, leaving Kadenge idol.
Silver Strikers Chief Executive Officer, Patrick Chimimba confirmed the development in an interview with Wa Mpira saying the two parties agreed to part ways.
“I can confirm that a mutual agreement has been reached between the Company and Coach Kadenge on the termination of his services,” said Silver Strikers CEO Patrick Chimimba. “Kadenge had 7 months left on his contract, but both parties have agreed to part ways amicably.”
With Kadenge out of the Bankers’ panel, it will not change any format as the team already has a new technical panel that is currently leading the log table of the TNM Super League. The end of this professional relationship opens a new chapter for both parties.
When this publication tried to contact Kadenge for a comment on this matter development he was not available. Kadenge is free to explore new opportunities in the football world.
