FCB Nyasa Big Bullets attacker Lameck Gamphani has returned to his home district of Dedza, having struggled to secure a regular place in Peter Mponda’s starting lineup. Wa Mpira can confirm that the player’s departure follows a season marked by limited game time.
Gamphani, who joined Bullets a year ago from Dedza Dynamos, has played less than 25 minutes this season and just 10 appearances for the club. Sources indicate the 22-year-old has been absent from team training for two weeks and is reportedly unwilling to return to Blantyre to play for Bullets.
While it’s unconfirmed if Gamphani formally notified the club of his leave, Wa Mpira understands he intends to force a move during the mid-season transfer window in July. Civil Service United is reportedly his preferred destination.

“Gamphani wants to play football, and he is willing to seal a move out of the team to hunt for minutes somewhere,” a source close to the situation confirmed to Wa Mpira.
Earlier this season, coach Peter Mponda had commended Gamphani’s professionalism, stating, “But you can see that in his position there is Chikumbutso Salima who is also doing well. I told him to continue working hard and his time would come.”
Bullets officials were unavailable for comment on the matter. This is a developing story, and updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
