The performance was a clear reflection of training-ground focus, according to head coach Jimmy Zakazaka, who praised his charges for executing their game plan with precision.

“It was a very good game, the boys did well today. We’ve been practicing this during training, but it wasn’t working in the past games. This time, it worked according to plan and we are very happy with the victory,” said Zakazaka, visibly buoyed by the dominant result.

For Jenda United, it was a third consecutive defeat, and head coach Obvious Banda admitted the team is undergoing growing pains with a youthful squad that is still adjusting to the intensity of the competition.

“We lost it from the word go. We conceded two early goals, which disturbed us. It’s a team of youngsters and we are still learning, though it’s getting out of hand,” Banda lamented.

The result lifts FOMO to 7th in the 12-team table with three points from three games (W1 D0 L2), while Jenda remain rooted at the bottom without a point and a goal difference that continues to worsen.

Head coach Chisomo Kamlanje emphasized the importance of defending home turf in the league.

“I told my boys that we need to win as we were playing at home. It will be tough to drop points here, so they really worked hard, and we got the win,” said Kamlanje.

Bangwe All Stars’ coach Isaac ‘Jomo’ Osman accepted the result but pointed to the challenges of playing on unfamiliar territory.

“The League is tough and teams are prepared. This was also our first away game and the surface was different from what our boys are used to. We’ll go back and work on our errors,” Osman explained.

Despite the defeat, Bangwe remain fourth on the log with six points, just a point behind leaders Ntaja.
