FCB, Big Bullets to renew partnership after “three-year of mutual benefits”

First Capital Bank (FCB) has officially declared its unwavering commitment to renewing its highly successful sponsorship contract with Malawian football giants, FCB Nyasa Big Bullets, reports MBC Digital.

The current three-year agreement, a substantial K525 million investment, is set to expire this year, but both parties have signaled their intent to continue what has proven to be a mutually beneficial partnership.

The partnership between FCB and Nyasa Big Bullets was formally unveiled on March 1, 2023, with the unveiling of the current three-year sponsorship deal, an agreement which significantly boosted the club’s financial stability and professional operations, enabling them to pursue their ambitious sporting goals with greater resources and also increased the visibility of the Bank.

Twikale Chirwa, FCB Head of Marketing, articulated the bank’s profound satisfaction with the outcomes of the current partnership.

“In the very first year of our sponsorship, Bullets achieved an extraordinary feat by winning all domestic cups,” Chirwa proudly stated, referring to the team’s dominant performance in the 2023 season.

“This immediate success, coupled with the team’s consistent high performance, has greatly encouraged us. As a bank, our relationship with Bullets is not merely transactional; it is deeply rooted and long-term. We are very encouraged with the team’s performance and the significant mileage the partnership has brought to the FCB brand.”

Chirwa further confirmed the bank’s intentions, “We will be making a formal announcement regarding the new sponsorship agreement in due course, but I can confidently state that we are continuing our successful journey with Bullets.”

FCB Nyasa Big Bullets’ Chief Executive Officer, Albert Chigoga, echoed Chirwa’s sentiments, expressing immense satisfaction with the club’s relationship with First Capital Bank.

“We are incredibly happy with our partnership with FCB,” Chigoga affirmed. “Their support has been instrumental in our recent successes and has allowed us to professionalize various aspects of our club operations, from player welfare to youth development.

“The bank’s commitment goes beyond just financial backing; it’s a true partnership built on shared values and a common vision for excellence.”

FCB has been playing a vital role towards the development of football in Malawi including sponsoring the First Capital U-20 formerly known as FMB U-20.

The company will be celebrating its 30th anniversary this weekend and Bullets and Silver Strikers will face off on July 29 at Bingu National Stadium, the proceedings will also be used for the development of grassroots football by sponsoring Luwinga Inclusive Academy.
