Everton Football Club are interested in signing Manchester City’s outcast midfielder, Kalvin Philips on loan to strengthen their squad ahead of the next season which is kicking in August.

Phillips joined West Ham in the January transfer window, but his time at the east London club did not go to plan, having gone on to make just 10 appearances. He was also sent off following two yellow cards he picked up in a 2-0 defeat at Nottingham Forest in February.
Phillips moved on loan after seeing his game time limited at City. Since his transfer to the Etihad Stadium from Leeds United in 2022, he has been limited to 31 appearances in all competitions.
The midfielder who was voted the player of the year in England before his move to Man City in the summer of 2022, has found it difficult to impress at Etihad Stadium, and Manager, Pep Guardiola confirmed that he would leave the Club.
“Everybody knows the situation he has and it depends on what happens, we will talk. We will talk about how is the market in January, it’s not easy…”, he said about Kalvin.
Man City are said to be open to letting the midfielder leave the Club if the significant asking price is tabled. The Citizens’ £40 million asking price has put multiple clubs off from making a move to sign Phillips ahead of the transfer window reopening next month.
Phillips is keen to go, and City will not stand in his way if they can secure a “significant” fee for a player whose reputation has taken a big dent over the last two years.
The 28-year-old’s contract is set to run until 2028 after he signed a six-year contract when he made the £45million move from Leeds United in 2022
