The Central Region-based side, Dedza Dynamos Football Club, are set to sign former Mighty Wanderers player Misheck Botomani on a free transfer after leaving Creck Sporting Club, Wa Mpira can reveal.
Botomani parted ways with Creck Sporting last week on mutual agreement, giving him the opportunity to join another club despite the transfer window being closed.

Sources close to the matter have confirmed to Wa Mpira that the two parties are locked in negotiations over a possible deal and they are moving towards an agreement.
Misheck Botomani, who is now 28 years old, joined Creck Sporting in February after the expiry of his deal with Mighty Wanderers but has been failing to put his mark in the team.
He made 12 appearances in seven months and featured in one cup match. His two-year deal which he signed earlier this year was cut short.
Ngwira, Botomani to reunite?
Dedza Dynamos Head Coach, Alex Ngwira, worked with Botomani in 2022 at Mighty Wanderers before the coach was sacked later in that year with then Technical Director, Mark Harrison, taking over.
Sources said Ngwira is interested in having the player who can play as a striker and as a midfielder in his squad.
Botomani arrived in Dedza on Wednesday and the two parties held discussions but whether the agreement has been reached or not, the details remain elusive.
Dedza Dynamos are pushing to move into the top half of the log table as they are currently 12th with 21 points from 18 games. They are struggling for consistency this campaign.

Dedza Dynamos are looking to boost their attacking position in order to move into the safest positions.
During the mid-season transfer window, they signed George Phiri from Chintheche FC, Christopher Phiri from FOMO FC, Luke Chima from Moyale Barracks, Pacharo Moyo from Panthers, Ackim Mponda from FOMO FC, Chikondi Mbeta from Thondwe United, and Noah Peter from Lobi Young Soccer.
Their scoring record this season is very poor and it might be one of the reasons why they are willing to add firepower in their team.

In 18 games, Dedza have just scored 16 goals and they have conceded 23 and they are currently carrying a -7 goal difference.
In 2024, Dedza scored 32 goals in 30 games and they conceded 31. They finished with a +1 goal difference. They finished 11th.
In 2023, it was their most impressive season in which they finished 7th and qualified for the Airtel Top 8 Cup. But their scoring record was still poor, scoring 30 and shipping in 38. They finished with a goal difference of -8.
In 2022, they finished 9th. They scored 29 goals and conceded 36 goals and they finished with a goal difference of -7.
