He was substituted on the 65th of the match and went to Lilongwe on Monday for a scan where it was confirmed that he was injured and would be sidelined for at least three weeks.
Kamwendo will indeed be out of action in the next three weeks which is a major setback,” Bunya said.

He was however quick to say that it is a chance for other players to come in and fill the gap left by Kamwendo who has so far enjoyed more game time since the start of the season.
“We have some replacements readily available for us but it’s up to them to show us what they can offer to the team in the absence of Kamwendo.
He faced a difficult season last year due to an injury that ruled him for months failing to replicate the form he had in his debut season with Premier Bet Dedza Dynamos FC in 2022 season.
However, Kamwendo has started in every game played so far scoring three goals out of the total nine scored by the team and managing two man of the match awards.
He has been completely ruled out for the weekend’s game against Mighty Mukuru Wanderers at Kamuzu Stadium on Saturday, June 1st, 2024.
