Months after parting ways with Salima Sugar Company Ltd, TNM Super League side Dedza Dynamos FC has landed a one-year sponsorship deal with leading sports betting company Premier Bet Malawi worth MK100 million.
The deal was sealed earlier on Tuesday in Blantyre as the two parties signed a contract up to the end of the season but with an option to extend.

Upon signing the contract, Dedza Dynamos FC has already received MK40 million with the remaining 60 sets to be provided in three phases of MK20 million.
Among others, the betting company will be providing MK100,000 monthly to a player of the month, MK500,000 will go to the player of the season with fans allowed to choose their player of the season who will also receive a whooping MK500,000 in Fan player of the year with the supporter of the year getting MK200,000.

Speaking after the signing ceremony, Chief Executive Officer for Premier Bet Malawi Mr. Trevor Whitaker said they have chosen Dedza Dynamos looking at how ambitious the club is.
“We were given many options but our choice was Dedza Dynamos so it’s up to them to use it properly and we are coming back next season,” Whitaker said.
Meanwhile, President of the Football Association of Malawi (FAM) Fleetwood Haiya urged the team to do the right thing to keep the sponsorship.
“No sponsor wants to be connected with violence and if you want to continue with the partnership, make sure that you behave,” Haiya told the team’s executive.
Representing president of the Super League of Malawi (SULOM) Akuzike Kafwamba applauds Premier Bet Malawi for staying in the game despite their failed move with SULOM.
“They have shown how committed they are and we are happy with them,” Kafwamba said.
In his remarks, the General Secretary for the club Kondwani Wiseman Banda, described the sponsorship as a great motivation to the team after parting ways with Salima Sugar.
“This is huge for the team and a great motivation to the players hopefully we’re in for a better season,” Banda said.
Premier Bet Dedza Dynamos FC is playing in its third season in the TNM Super League.
