General Secretary for the association, Hashim Shosholoza Adam, told Wa Mpira that they are expecting an exciting final based on the performances of both teams leading up to the showpiece.
“Although Kalinyeke reached the semi-final stage as best losers, they have proved a point, hence we are expecting a tough encounter against Thete FC,” said Shosho.
He revealed that the association has lined up several activities to entertain fans on the day.
“There will be a number of activities as we are also expecting our seniors from FAM and the Central Region Football Association, including the sponsor,” he said.
Discipline and Professionalism Praised
The General Secretary commended all teams for maintaining discipline throughout the competition and praised referees for their professional conduct.
“It has been a good journey for us with no major issues, and we want to finish everything in the same manner,” Shosho said.
He called on the football fraternity in Dedza to turn out in large numbers and support the local talent.
“This is where football begins, hence I’m calling upon all football followers to come to the stadium in large numbers for the final,” he emphasized.
This marks the second consecutive year that Thete FC have reached the final. They finished as runners-up to Chimbiya Stars last season.
