Dedza District Football Association (DDFA), through its General Secretary, Hashim Shosholoza Adam, has expressed readiness for the 2025/2026 Saint Louis High School Dedza District Football League.
In an engagement with Wa Mpira, Shosholoza said all is set ahead of the league kick-off over the weekend following the conclusion of the play-offs, where eight teams have qualified for the league.
“As an association, we are just prepared for the league in collaboration with all the stakeholders involved in running the affairs of the league for a better season,” Shosholoza said.

He further urged teams playing in the league to maintain their discipline throughout the season to avoid tarnishing the image of their sponsor, Saint Louis High School.
“Let the teams advise their supporters not to be involved in any form of hooliganism because the association will act accordingly,” he warned.
According to Shosholoza, they want to run the league in a professional way, though he was quick to say that there is a need for proper collaboration among all stakeholders to achieve that.
“We have our members in all the zones on top of our subcommittees, so we are appealing to all of them to be part of the team that will move with the agenda of transforming the game, in line with what the President of the Football Association of Malawi, Fleetwood Haiya, is preaching across the country,” he indicated.
He further appealed to the district’s referees’ association to be well organized, as they play a big role in having a good run in the league.
Meanwhile, one of the teams that qualified for the league, Magomero FC, through their team manager Lomos Chimeta, said they are ready to compete in the league with full force after being on the sidelines for the past five years.

“We are coming back stronger than ever before, and we are just urging the community to be part of the team and support it accordingly,” Chimeta said.
