The Dedza District Football Association (DDFA) has announced that it has eliminated Ballack FC and Kantande FC from the Saint Louis High School Dedza District Football League after they failed to fulfill their away fixtures.
General Secretary for the association, Hashim Shosholozi Adam, has confirmed the development in an interview with Wa Mpira, indicating that the decision is in line with the league’s rules and regulations.

“It’s true that the two teams are no longer part of the league after failing to honour their away fixtures, contrary to our rules,” Shosho confirmed.
He said they don’t want teams that will only play at home in the league because that is not the kind of competition they want.
“We want fair competition among all the teams, so failing to play away from home gives an opportunity to other teams without fighting,” the general secretary indicated.
He therefore warned all teams playing in the league that any form of indiscipline will be met with stiff penalties.
“We will not allow any team to misbehave in any way this season,” Shosho warned.
Recently, the association also rejected Blue City from participating in the National Bank of Malawi Championship after they misbehaved in the Castel Challenge Cup.
“Discipline is paramount in all our competitions, so anyone against that will not work with us in any way,” he said.
Following the decision, the league now has 14 teams.
