FCB Nyasa Big Bullets and Silver Strikers were happy with the gate revenue for Airtel Top 8 Cup final.
FCB Nyasa Big Bullets pocketed K53.558 Million from the Airtel Top 8 Cup final which includes MK30 Million for prize money and MK23.558 Million for gate revenue while Silver Strikers bagged home K33.558 million as they also got the K10 million runners-up prize.
The Airtel Top 8 Cup final between Silver Strikers and FCB Nyasa Big Bullets grossed a revenue record of K116.45 million last Saturday at Bingu National Stadium.

Out of the K116.45 million gross revenue, FAM spent K22. 222 million towards expenses, leaving a net of K94.232 million, from which the two teams and stadium owners, Ministry of Youth and Sports, got K23.558 million each.
Football Association of Malawi (FAM) received K18.846 million while the Malawi National Council of Sports got K4.712 million.
FAM president Fleetwood Haiya was excited with the record revenue saying this is in line with the transforming the game agenda.
“A record-breaking K 116 454 500 gross revenue for the Airtel Top 8 final between Silver Strikers and FCB Nyasa Bullets today gives us a reason to believe that we are on a good trajectory.
“Our resolve is to keep improving our gate management systems to give teams more resources. A big thank you to all the fans for making this milestone possible. Together we can do more,” he said.
Bullets Acting Chief Executive Officer, Albert Chigoga said they were happy with the gate revenue.
““It’s unprecedented and we are happy. We thank our supporters for coming out in large numbers to watch the game. It is a huge step in the right direction,” he said.
Silver Strikers Chief Executive Officer, Patrick Chimimba commended the Association and teams for convincing supporters to watch the game.
Ernest Petro’s looping header was enough for FCB Nyasa Big Bullets to win the Season Seven of the Airtel Top 8 Cup, taking their total honours to three in seven years.
