Chitipa United Football Club is demanding MK17 Million for their star striker Andrew Joseph, rejecting multiple bids from Malawi’s top four teams who are all vying for his signature.
The breakthrough player has attracted serious interest from table leaders Mighty Wanderers, FCB Nyasa Big Bullets, Silver Strikers, and Ekhaya FC, but none of their offers have met Chitipa’s valuation.
According to Times, both Mighty Wanderers and Ekhaya FC have tabled the highest bids at MK12 Million each, while Silver Strikers offered MK10 Million and FCB Nyasa Big Bullets put forward MK7.5 Million for the talented forward.

Despite the competitive interest, Chitipa remains firm on their asking price of MK17 Million, with negotiations continuing between the clubs. Wanderers and Ekhaya are reportedly leading the race after submitting offers closest to the demanded fee.

FCB Nyasa Big Bullets have effectively priced themselves out of the deal for Joseph. Chief Executive Officer Albert Chigoga confirmed to Daily Times Sport that while Joseph was their prime target this transfer window, the asking price exceeds their valuation of the player.
The People’s Team is looking to make two key signings this window – a striker and a defender – as requested by Peter Mponda’s technical panel to strengthen their squad for the second round of the 2025 TNM Super League. The club will now explore other options to meet these requirements.
Should any club meet Chitipa’s MK17 Million asking price, Joseph would become the most expensive player in TNM Super League history, surpassing previous records including Innocent Nyasulu’s MK10 Million move from Tigers to Bullets and Gaddie Chirwa’s MK7.5 Million transfer from Blue Eagles to Wanderers.
Joseph has justified the attention with consistent performances this season, starting 15 matches and appearing as a substitute in four others.
The striker has scored three goals and earned two man of the match awards against Mighty Wanderers and Silver Strikers, making himself available for every game Chitipa has played in the first round.
