Karonga United have confirmed that their two players, attacker Allen Chihana and goalkeeper, Maclean Mwale have extended their contracts with the team until 2027.
The Ingwina Zga Ku Karonga made the announcement on Wednesday evening after reaching agreements with the two players.

Chihana has been one of the most reliable players for the team since he was promoted from the team’s Reserve side back in 2021.
Allen Watermelon Chihana will stay at Karonga until 2027 as he signed a two-year contract with Karonga. His graphs has been going upward since his promotion and he was even part of the Malawi National Team squad at this year’s COSAFA Cup played in South Africa.

Meanwhile, Maclean Mwale, goalkeeper has also extended his stay with the Northen Region side after agreeing to the terms of the contract which the club offered to him.
Mwale joined Karonga United in March 2024 from relegated side, Extreme FC after his impressive season with them. Mwale’s contract was due to expire in March next year but Karonga have opted to extend his deal as it will sooon enter into its last six months.
